The real reason I made this Waffle Omelette? I wanted a decent photo, and my Omelette-flipping skills are very hit-or-miss!
Jump to RecipeI bet a lot of you didn’t know that you can use a waffle iron to make an omelette. To tell you the truth, I didn’t either until I heard about the whole chaffle craze that’s on right now. Well in case you don’t know what a chaffle is, it’s a waffle made of cheese and eggs. Basically a cheese omelette made in a waffle maker I guess.
I was originally planning on making a an omelette for dinner, and then learned about the chaffle, so I just put 2 and 2 together and made a waffle omelette!
Outside of giving some extra visual aesthetics, using a waffle iron makes things a lot easier and cleaner too! All you need to do is combine all your omelette ingredients and pour that mix in there. No need to worry about when to add the toppings so they cook right or having to wait for that perfect moment to flip the egg but still breaking it while you’re at it!
I might just stick to this option for getting edible food while I practice the real thing.
