I was planning on going for avocado muffins or cupcakes, but most of my Instagram audience wanted a chocolate mousse or pudding with all those avocados I had on my counter. So here we are.
This chocolate avocado protein mousse really is perfect for any time of day. Its super easy to make, only takes a few minutes to prepare, and very versatile to top with chocolate, berries, or nuts.

This recipe for Chocolate Protein Avocado uses a few simple and healthy ingredients including avocado, protein powder and cocoa powder. No heavy cream and sugar involved!
- Avocado Flesh from completely ripe avocado. Make sure its soft!
- Chocolate Protein Powder for high protein chocolate mousse!
I used Quest Nutrition Chocolate flavor; It’s a whey-casein. - Unsweetened Cocoa Powder; So you have a rich chocolate flavor in this avocado pudding without added sugars.
- Vanilla Extract
- Unsweetened Almond Milk; Or any other
- Stevia Powder – this is optional, but add to taste.
How to make Chocolate Avocado Mousse with Protein Powder:
All you need to do do to make this protein powder chocolate avocado mousse is mix the ingredients in a food processor.
I would say add the milk a little at a time, and also taste to see if you need more sweetener; This would depend on how sweet your protein powder is.
Chill for about 30 minutes in the fridge and then serve!
