Creamy mashed avocado on a warm crispy slice of bread. This makes for a healthy addition to a hearty breakfast, or even just a quick snack.

The Perfect Avocado Toast
Ingredients
- 1 slice Whole Wheat Bread
- ½ small Avocado, ⅓ cup sliced, 50g
- ⅓ tsp Lemon Juice
- ⅛ tsp Salt & Pepper, each
Toppings:
- ½ tsp Olive Oil
- ¼ tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- ¼ tsp Minced Garlic
- Fried/Poached/Scrambled Eggs
- Fresh basil, Cilantro or Parsley
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine avocado, lemon juice, salt, and pepper and gently mash with the back of a fork.
- Toast the bread in a toaster or lightly fry on a skillet over medium heat about 1-2 minutes each side, until a golden crust forms.
- Spread the avocado mix on the bread and top with your choice of toppings.

- Use Gluten-free bread to make this diet compatible.
