A truly magical no bake Chocolate Protein Fudge made just 3 ingredients! This healthy, low calorie protein fudge bar recipe uses protein powder, sugar free chocolate nut butter and coconut flour; No heavy cream needed.
Jump to RecipeAfter making that 3 ingredient Biscoff protein fudge, I really wanted to adapt that recipe into a rich chocolate fudge as well.
Switched out the cookie butter spread for chocolate nut butter (sugar free cashew butter from American Dream Nut Butter or even sugar free Nutella) and made this beauty.
The perfect chocolate fudge texture with no complications.
What you need for 3 Ingredient Chocolate Protein Fudge
This 3 ingredient chocolate protein fudge is actually made with just the 3 items – a healthy and sugar free chocolate nut butter, protein powder and coconut flour and no condensed milk or chocolate needed!
Here’s some more details:
- Chocolate Nut Butter! I used American Dream Nut Butter Brownie Toast Crunch Cashew Butter; It actually tastes like a brownie! ADNB also has a lot of other chocolate-y flavors that would go perfect here. Code HAYLSKITCHEN gets you a discount here!
Another option is Lakanto Suntella – a sugar-free Nutella alternative made from sunflower seeds. Code HAYLSKITCHEN for a discount here too. - Chocolate Protein Powder – for high protein fudge recipe, and also replace the sweetener.
I recommend ProteinWorld Chocolate for this recipe to keep it sugar free; Use the code HAYLSKITCHEN for a discount.
Another option would be Quest.
- Coconut Flour
How to make Nutella Protein Fudge Bars:
With this easy list of ingredients, making homemade nutella protein fudge really couldn’t get easier; Just mix and set!
Combine the chocolate nut butter or Nutlla, coconut flour and chocolate protein powder in a bowl.
Transfer it into a parchment lined loaf pan – I use an 8 x 4” – and spread and smoothen the top with the back of a spoon.
Place the pan in the freezer for 10 minutes to freeze.
Cut into about 16 pieces.
How to store Chocolate Protein Powder Fudge Bars Recipe
Since this chocolate protein fudge bar is made without chocolate or condensed milk, it will get soft at room temperature and needs to be store in the fridge or freezer.
Store 3 ingredient protein fudge in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
To freeze protein Nutella fudge bars, place sliced fudge bars in a zipper bag with pieces of parchment paper in between and keep in the freezer for 2-3 months. You can also use a freezer safe airtight container here.
Be sure to let the frozen chocolate fudge soften for a few hours in the fridge or at room temperature so it’s not too hard to bite into.
Tips for the perfect Healthy Chocolate Fudge without Heavy Cream
- Make sure you use room temperature runny nut butter since a hard one out of the fridge won’t combine well.
- Let the fudge harden before slicing since it will be fairly difficult to do this at room temperature.
Alternatives for Low Calorie Protein Fudge Recipe
I made this healthy and low protein fudge with the ingredients and brands I recommended above, but here’s some alternatives you can try.
- Chocolate nut butter spread: Use plain runny almond butter, cashew butter or Tahini + 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa + about ½ Tbsp sweetener.
- Coconut Flour: About 3x the amount of almond flour
I haven’t tried these combinations myself, but I’d love to know if you do.
Keto and Low Carb
This chocolate fudge bar recipe is already low carb and keto friendly; Just make sure you use a stevia sweetened protein powder and keto-friendly chocolate nut butter.
(American Dream Nut Butter and Lakanto Suntella are both Keto options).
Vegan Chocolate Fudge!
This is chocolate fudge recipe without condensed milk, and can easily turned into a Vegan protein fudge by using a compliant nut butter and protein powder.
ProteinWorld has a Vegan protein blend that would go well here; Code HAYLSKITCHEN saves you dollars here as well.
Another Vegan chocolate spread alternative is my homemade sugar free nutella.

Anyone know if this works with oat flour too?
Hi Kira! You could try oat flour, but about 2x the amount!
I should preface this by saying I don’t cook or bake. I made this because it’s only three ingredients and no baking—basically just mixing. It turned out so good. I like that you can modify it each time with whatever nut butter you feel like. Thank you so much for figuring out this super-easy recipe for us. 🙂
You’re most welcome Sharon! Making healthy and tasty sweet treats really doesn’t have to be hard, and really can be made by anyone! Hope you try some more easy recipes on here too 🙂
