Ingredients for Protein Banana Pudding
This healthy protein banana pudding is made with a Greek yogurt and protein powder custard, sugar free wafers, and has no condensed milk and no sugar either; The perfect healthy banana pudding recipe!
- Vanilla Wafers; I used these keto friendly and sugar free vanilla wafers from High Key
- Sliced Banana
And for the Protein Custard Layer in this Banana Pudding
- Non-fat Greek Yogurt for a high protein custard
- Vanilla Protein Powder; This is the source of sweetness in the protein custard for this layered dessert. No added sugar in this recipe.I used Quest Vanilla here since it’s whey-caesin and blends well with the yogurt.
- Banana flavored Instant Pudding Mix: I used this sugar free and fat free one from Jello
- A bit of Unsweetened Almond Milk
Tips for Protein Powder Banana Cream Pudding
This banana cream pudding with protein powder is rich and tasty and actually very easy to make!
- Use cold milk and yogurt;
- Use whey-caesin Vanilla protein powder so it blends well and smooth with the yogurt and pudding mix.
- Add milk a little at a time so the custard doesn’t get too runny.
- Stir custard vigorously until smooth; It might take a minute, but you don’t want a lumpy custard.
- Use ripe, not overripe bananas; They shouldn’t have brown spots on them.
- Taste the custard and see if you need some extra sweetener. I’d recommend using stevia powder to maintain the consistency of the pudding and have a sugar free and healthy protein tifle.
