Brownie Protein Shake is perfect for when you bake a big batch of brownies, and want to make it last longer! It’s got protein brownies and protein powder for a double dose of goodness.
Jump to RecipeOkay not gonna lie, but I had a recipe that failed on me so I turned it into this protein brownie shake! Think double protein here – it’s got a protein brownie and protein powder inside – and a dose of nutrition from cauliflower in ther too.
Whether you have a recipe gone bad, or wondering what to do with leftover brownies or just baked a fresh batch of protein brownies – you’re not going to regret trying out this shake!
Ingredients in Brownie Protein Shake
This brownie protein shake is made with a protein brownie, protein powder and another 2 pantry staples. Here’s all the ingredients:
- Protein Brownies: I recommend using this fudgy protein brownie recipe.
- Vanilla Protein Powder: This is the core ingredient to this chocolate brownie protein shake, so use a good quality one.
I recommend Whey-Casein from Quest Nutrition for this recipe to make it thick and smooth. - Frozen Cauliflower
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
How do you make the Perfect Leftover Brownie Protein Shake?
This leftover brownie protein shake is a simple recipe;
- Blend smoothie ingredients in a blender (frozen cauliflower, protein powder, milk).
- Add brownie pieces and blend again.
- Pour into glass and top with more crumbled brownie.
Tips for Perfect Protein Brownie Smoothie
- Use whey-casein protein powder as specified. It works well with the ratio of ingredients here.
Whey-casein absorbs more liquid, and whey absorbs less, so you need to adjust the liquid accordingly for the right consistency of this brownie protein smoothie.
- Put the wet ingredients in the blender first, then the dry ingredients. This prevents the dry ingredients from sticking to the bottom of the blender.
- Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed so everything mixes well.
More options for Healthy Brownie Smoothie
I made this a low-calorie and healthy leftover brownie smoothie with the list of ingredients I mentioned, but here’s some other alternatives.
- Frozen Cauliflower: Frozen zucchini; Or some frozen yogurt!
- Almond Milk: Other non-dairy or regular milk
- Protein Brownie: Any other leftover brownies
If you’re Vegan, use a plant based protein powder and brownie; I recommend Dymatize Complete Plant Protein Powder.
