This Carrot Cake Protein Bowl is a great low carb and gluten free recipe since it has no oats or flour or even sugar! Here’s what you need:
- Carrots
- Vanilla Protein Powder I used whey-casein Vanilla flavor from Quest Nutrition.
- Unflavored Protein Powder: Quest Nutrition Multi-purpose here.
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Cloves
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Stevia Sweetener
For the Protein Cream Cheese Topping on Carrot Cake Dessert Bowl:
- Reduced Fat Cream Cheese
- Non-fat Greek Yogurt
- Vanilla Protein Powder: Quest Nutrition again
And for toppings: Walnuts or Pecans!
How to make Carrot Cake Bowl with Protein Powder
This recipe for warm carrot bowl with protein powder is super easy to put together.
- Warm the shredded carrot in the microwave for about 1½ to 2 minutes so it gets soft and tender.
- Add in the milk, vanilla and unflavored protein powders and spices(cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves).
- Taste and add stevia sweetener (for a healthy recipe) or milk if needed.
Can you store this Carrot Cake Breakfast Bowl?
Since this is a single serve recipe, I usually just make and have this carrot cake bowl on the moment itself, but you can make ahead and store it too.
To meal prep, make carrot cake breakfast bowl (topping separate), let cool to room temperature and then store in the fridge in an airtight container. Keep upto 3 days and reheat in the microwave when needed.
Add toppings when serving.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Shredded Carrot, 110g
- ½ scoop Vanilla Protein Powder, Whey-casein, 15g
- ½ scoop Unflavored Protein Powder, Whey-casein, 15g
- ⅓ cup Unsweetened Almond Milk, 80ml
- ¼ tsp Cinnamon
- Pinch of Nutmeg
- Pinch of Cloves, Ground
- Stevia Sweetener, to taste
Cream Cheese Topping:
- 1 Tbsp Reduced Fat Cream Cheese, 7g, Room Temperature
- 1 Tbsp Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt, 7g
- 1 tsp Vanilla Protein Powder, Whey-casein, 2g
Toppings:
- 1 tsp Chopped Walnuts, 5g
Instructions
- Microwave carrots on high for 1½-2 minutes (until steaming and soft).
- Add in vanilla protein powder, unflavored protein powder, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves..
- Mix, adding in sweetener and milk as needed.
Cream Cheese Topping:
- Combine softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt and protein powder in a bowl.
- Spread on carrot cake bowl.
- Top with walnuts and serve warm!
