- Eggs

- Baking Powder
- Baking Soda

How to make Chocolate Toffee Bits Bread with Protein Powder
This chocolate loaf with health bar toffee is super easy to make, but here’s some pointers to get it right.
- Sift cocoa powder to prevent lumps.
- Whisk all dry ingredients well (flour, protein powders, cocoa, stevia, baking powder, baking soda) so there are no clums of flour
- Whisk wet ingredients well (applesauce, yogurt, milk, eggs, vanilla, toffee extract) to prevent any chunks of yogurt in the batter.
Use room temperature yogurt, milk and eggs. - Add dry mix to wet and fold to combine.
Don’t whisk or over-mix the or the chocolate toffee loaf will be too dense and gummy because protein powder can make a batter tough. - Grease baking pan and line with parchment paper so the loaf does not stick to pan.
- Pour ⅔ batter into baking pan
- Spread most toffee bits as a layer.
- Pour remaining ⅓ batter.
- Bake at 350°F for 55-60 minutes.
Cover protein packed chocolate heath bar bits bread with foil tent after 30 mins of baking to prevent the top from browning and burning. - Cool for 5 minutes, sprinkle remaining toffee bits on top.
Can you Store Chocolate Toffee Protein Loaf
This healthy chocolate toffee protein loaf keeps really well and is great for a meal prep recipe.
Store chocolate heath bar toffee loaf at room temperature for about 3 days in an airtight container or in the fridge up to 1 week.
To freeze the healthy chocolate heath bar bits bread, cut it into slices, wrap each slice in plastic wrap, and place them in a freezer-safe zipper bag; Freeze up to 3 months.
You can also store the whole loaf itself – be sure to let it thaw before you slice.
