How to store High Protein Cookies and Cream Fudge
Since this Protein Cookies and Cream fudge is made without white chocolate, it will get soft at room temperature and needs to be store in the fridge or freezer.
Store Oreo Cookie fudge in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
To freeze protein powder Oreo fudge recipe, place sliced fudge bars in a zipper bag with pieces of parchment paper in between and keep in the freezer for 2-3 months. You can also use a freezer safe airtight container here.
Be sure to let the frozen cookie and cream fudge soften for a few hours in the fridge or at room temperature so it’s not too hard to bite into.
Tips for the perfect Cookies and Cream Fudge without Chocolate
- Make sure you use room temperature runny cashew butter since a hard one out of the fridge won’t combine well.
- Let the fudge harden before slicing since it will be fairly difficult to do this at room temperature.
Alternate Ingredients for Healthy Oreo Fudge
- Cashew Butter: Use any other neutral nut or seed butter like sunflower seed butter, macadamia nut butter, or even a blend. Plain, unroasted almond butter might be good too. I would not recommend peanut butter because of the strong flavor.
- Coconut Flour: Try 3x the amount of almond flour; I haven’t made this myself though so I’m not sure how it will work.
- Collagen Powder: Some more of the coconut flour or almond flour.
