Jump to RecipePre Script: I don’t like berries.
Yes, that’s right. Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries…… all that “good” stuff? No.
The only acceptable one is strawberries.
Okay just found out bananas and avocados are berries too so I guess I need to expand my list?
Anyway, the only reason I like strawberries is because of my mom. During our vacation in London last summer (2018 that is) she was just obsessed with them. I’m not kidding. It was the 1lb box a day kind of obsessed. Apparently they had really good ones there.
Gave in one day and decided to give them a shot. Totally got the hype. I ended up piling onto that addiction and would finish about a half of that box myself!
Strawberries + Oatmeal?
When I tasted some pretty good strawberries here the other day, and I couldn’t help but try them over a bowl of oats. So good!
The natural sugars of the fruit gives the plain old porridge a sweet taste without any added sugar.
The cream:
And to make things even sweeter, I made a sweet vanilla “cream” to go with.
Why? #2 strawberry dessert after chocolate covered strawberries.
Its super easy and healthy too! Just stir together greek yogurt with almond milk, stevia sweetener and vanilla.
A ‘cream’ with no milk or cream!
And you can make this vegan too by using coconut or almond based yogurt.
