Some Tips for Mini Valentines Chocolate Cake with Protein Powder:
These mini Valentines chocolate cakes are made with protein powde, but not difficult. Here’s some tips to get them right!
- Use whey-casein and whey protein powder as specified; Whey-casein absorbs more liquid. If you use all whey, use less applesauce.
- Make sure your mixture has enough moisture in it.
Protein powder is quite absorbent and if the wet ingredients are too little, the cakes will be dry! The mix should be like a slightly runny brownie batter.
- Taste the batter and see if you need some extra sweetener. I’d recommend using stevia powder to maintain the consistency of the batter and have low sugar smores donut.
- Use room temperature egg whites and appleseauce so they mix well with the dry ingredients.
- Be sure to grease the mini heart cake pan so the baked valentine’s chocolate hearts come off easily.
- Melt chocolate in intervals so it doesn’t burn!
How to store Healthy Mini Valenetines Day Cake?
These homemade healthy mini valentine’s day cakes keep really well in the fridge, freezer, or even at room temperature.
Store valentine’s day heart cakes at room temperature, for 1-2 days in an airtight container, or 5 days in the fridge.
Another option is to freeze the mini valentine’s day chocolate cake; Place in freezer-safe zipper bags and freeze for up to 2 months.
