Ingredients for Protein Peanut Butter Frosting
This peanut butter frosting is made with simple and ingredients – no sugar, no butter, no buttercream, no cream cheese needed!
- Creamy Peanut Butter
- Peanut Butter Powder (Like PbFit or Pb2) – this might also be called powdered peanut butter – to have slightly low fat and low calorie frosting recipe, but you can replace this with more peanut butter.
Drop the almond milk in this case - Almond Milk if using the powder peanut butter
- Non Fat Greek Yogurt for an extra high protein frosting recipe, but any other yogurt will also work
- Vanilla Protein Powder – this is what replaces the sugar here. I used Quest vanilla protein powder in this recipe.

I also had a dry cookie that needed saving, and this recipe was perfect! I didn’t have enough Greek yogurt, so I just added a splash more milk until I got the consistency I wanted. This recipe is great!
So glad the extra milk worked for you! Can’t wait to see what you try next 🙂
I made a dry cookie that needed saving, and this frosting was perfect. Since I used PBfit pure, I added a dash of monkfruit to sweeten the frosting. I think with regular PB2 it would’ve been perfect, but with the unsweetened pb powders you may need to sweeten to taste. Thanks!
YAYYY I’m so this frosting came to the rescue 🙂
Simple et Délicieux!!!
C’est vraiment incroyable ! Je suis si heureux que tu l’aies aimé !

[…] Peanut Butter Frosting […]
Absolutely delicious! The perfect peanut butter taste and texture. This is on repeat at my house!♥️
Yasss! So excited to know you all love this one. One of my favorite frosting recipes too!
Can I use chocolate protein powder instead of vanilla?
You can definitely use a chocolate protein powder here Alyssa; You would get more of a chocolate peanut butter flavored frosting in that case (can’t say no to that combination though!)
I’d love to know how it turns out!
Is there something I can use instead of protein powder?
Oh gosh! That really does defeat the “high protein” part haha.
I would recommend a sugar-free 1:1 monk fruit sweetener from Lakanto: https://amzn.to/2IiYndg
The peanut butter frosting is so delicious and creamy.
Using Peanut Butter really is such a game changer isn’t it? I’m so happy you enjoyed it too!
