Ingredients for Maple White Chocolate Protein Balls
These maple white chocolate protein balls have all the fall maple flavor, but are still low sugar; They’re made with sugar-free maple syrup and a low-sugar maple toaster pastry flavor Cashew Butter too!
- Plant-Based Vanilla Protein Powder I use the vegan vanilla protein powder from KOS.
- Whey-Casein Vanilla Protein Powder; Quest Nutrition is the one I recommend.
- Oat Flour
- Maple Toaster Pastry flavored Cashew Butter; from American Dream Nut Butter (code HAYLSKITCHEN gives you a discount). It’s lower fat and higher protein than normal, and just amazing .
ADNB has other flavors that would work well here too. - Sugar-Free Maple Syrup: I recommend the one from Lakanto (code HAYLSKITCHEN for a discount)
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
And for the inside:
- Sugar Free White Chocolate: I use the white chocolate bar from Lily’s here.
How to make Maple Protein Balls:
These maple protein balls are made with protein powder for sweetness, and actually super easy – with no baking needed. Here’s some pointers to get it right.
- Mix all dry ingredients first (oat flour, protein powders) so that you get an even mix.
Use whey-casein protein powder and plant-based since it works well with the ratio of ingredients here; Whey absorbs less moisture, so you would have to reduce the amount of milk in this case.
- Add cashew butter and maple syrup little at a time;
Add more milk to mix if too dry, more oat flour if too wet; Mixture should be handleable and rollable.
- Taste the batter and see if you need some extra sweetener.
Use sugar-free stevia sweetener so the nutrition label remains as is.
- Divide mix into 8 portions, and flatten into discs.
- Place white chocolate piece inside, roll into ball.
To store No Bake Maple Protein Bites
These maple protein bites are best stored in the fridge since they do have a bit of milk in there.
To store maple white chocolate protein bites, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freezer for 2-3 months. Let them thaw on the counter before eating!
