Jump to RecipeAfter American Dream Nut Butter came out with their Halloween seasonal Bewitched Peanut Butter (code HAYLSKITCHEN for a discount) – an Oreo flavored peanut butter with crushed Oreo, candy-coated chocolate and sea salt – I had to give something a go with this combination.
The Black Cocoa Oreo flavor combined with the Peanut Butter – a real level up to the classic chocolate peanut butter combination.

Tips to make Oreo Peanut Butter Squares with Protein Powder
These high protein oreo peanut butter squares are extremely easy to make, with just making one layer at a time. Here’s some tips to get them right!
- Use whey-casein and whey protein powder when specified. It works well with the ratio of ingredients here.
Whey-casein absorbs more liquid, and whey absorbs less, so you need to adjust the liquid accordingly.
- Add milk or water little at a time when preparing mixtures; Even a little extra will make them too runny.
- Mix the dry ingredients well before adding in the wet so you have a smooth mix.
To store No Bake Oreo Peanut Butter Bars
These no bake oreo peanut butter bars need to be stored in the fridge since they have milk in there.
To store homemade oreo cookie peanut butter bars, place in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a 1 week.
To freeze, place healthy oreo peanut butter squares in airtight sealed container, or individually wrapped in plastic wrap and placed in zipper bag; They should keep for 2 or 3 months. Be sure to let them thaw on the counter before eating!
Alternatives for Healthy Chocolate Butterscotch Bars!
I made these sugar free and gluten free and low fat chocolate butterscotch caramel bars with this particular ingredient list, but here’s some healthy options to choose from.
For the Oreo base:
- Oat Flour: Almond flour, or heat-treated flour (don’t forget to heat-treat, raw flour is not good)
- Coconut flour: Try using about ⅔ cup of Almond Flour
- Oreo-flavored Peanut Butter: Regular peanut butter, or even almond butter
- Almond Milk: Regular milk or other non dairy milk
For the Peanut Butter Layer:
- Peanut Butter Powder: 4 Tbsp regular peanut butter/almond butter (reduce the water to 1 Tbsp in this case)
- Unflavored protein powder: 1½ Tbsp Coconut Flour
- Sugar free Maple Syrup: Regular maple syrup or Honey, but they won’t be Vegan or a no sugar recipe anymore.
Also, gluten free chocolate sandwich cookies work fine in place of Oreo thins.
