A perfect Protein Chocolate Chip Cookie Trifle with a protein cookie, chocolate pudding and vanilla yogurt. Healthy cookie dough trifle for one with no sugar or whipped cream either.
Jump to RecipeNow I do love a cookie by itself, but making an easy layered dessert like this for an extra protein bump is only better!
And for a triple protein bump I actually used a protein cookie here too! A soft and chewy chocolate chip protein cookie from Naked Nutrition!
Ingredients for Protein Chocolate Chip Cookie Trifle
This healthy, high protein chocolate chip cookie trifle is made with a protein cookie, protein chocolate pudding and protein yogurt mix. No extra sugars or condensed milk or crazy ingredients.
- Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie: I used Naked Nutrition Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie
For the Protein Chocolate Pudding
- Non-fat Greek Yogurt for a high protein custard
- Chocolate Protein Powder needed for high protein chocolate pudding. I used Chocolate Milkshake protein powder from Quest Nutrition.
- Chocolate flavored Instant Pudding Mix: I used this sugar free and fat free one from Simply Delish.
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- A bit of Unsweetened Almond Milk
The Vanilla Protein Layer:
- Non-fat Greek Yogurt
- Vanilla Protein Powder; I used Quest Vanilla here since it’s whey-casein and blends well with the yogurt.
Tips for Protein Cookie Trifle
This protein cookie trifle is rich and tasty and actually very easy to make!
- Use cold milk and yogurt;
- Use whey-casein Vanilla protein powder so it blends well and smooth with the yogurt and pudding mix.
- Add milk a little at a time so the pudding doesn’t get too runny.
- Stir custard vigorously until smooth; It might take a minute, but you don’t want a lumpy custard.
- Taste the pudding and vanilla yogurt mixes and see if you need some extra sweetener. I’d recommend using stevia powder to maintain the consistency of the pudding and have a sugar free and healthy protein chocolate chip cookie trifle.
How to store Protein Powder Cookie Dough Trifle?
This high protein cookie dough trifle with protein powder and Greek yogurt can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for a week.
Protein chocolate chip cookie trifle will keep out at room temperature for only a few hours.
Alternatives for Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookie Trifle
