Jump to RecipeI actually didn’t know that Cookie Dough Oreos were a thing until I saw someone make them on Instagram. You know your girl just loves Oreos, so I had to go for this one. Since I already had a Protein Oreo Cookies recipe and a single serve Protein Cookie Dough recipe, this one was basically putting them both together into one.
Why you will love these healthy Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos?
- First of all, combine cookie dough and Oreo into one – a real unbeatable flavor.
- It’s high protein and has no sugar since it uses protein powder instead.
- A gluten free cookie dough stuffed oreo recipe with the Oat flour
- Low fat too since it doesn’t have all the butter a regular cookie would use
- And it tastes AMAZING!
Ingredients for Protein Cookie Dough Oreos:
These protein Cookie Dough Oreo are made with simple healthy ingredients with oat flour for the cookie and filling, and protein powder instead of sugar. A gluten free and sugar-free recipe.
- Oat Flour – You can make your own by blending rolled oats in a high speed blender
- Chocolate Protein Powder needed for a high protein oreo cookie thin.
I used a whey-casein blend protein powder from Quest Nutrition for this recipe. - Black Cacao Powder or Black Cocoa Powder; This is the one I used
- Almond Butter; I used Chocolate Coconut Truffle flavor Almond Butter from American Dream Nut Butter.
It’s lower fat and higher protein than normal, and just amazing (code HAYLSKITCHEN gives you a discount on these) in this cookie recipe.
ADNB has a lot of other flavors that would go well here too. - A bit of Unsweetened Almond milk
- Vanilla Extract
The Protein Cookie Dough Filling:
- Vanilla Protein Powder; I used Quest Nutrition whey-casein blend.
- Unflavored Protein Powder; I used the multi purpose one from Quest Nutrition.
- Oat Flour
- A bit of Coconut Flour
- Peanut Butter Powder, also known as Powdered Peanut Butter. I recommend Lakanto for a sugar free version (the code HAYLSKITCHEN gives you a discount). Or you could use the one from PbFit or PB2 too.
- Unsweetened Almond Milk or another non dairy or regular milk
- Mini Chocolate Chips – I use sugar free ones from ChocZero here.
Tips for Healthy Cookie Dough Oreos with Protein Powder
- Use whey-caesin protein powder since it works best for these cookie dough Oreos and does not dry out the cookies.
- Add in the almond milk a little at a time – too much can make the dough too runny.
- Mix the dough well to form a smooth mixture, but don’t over-mix since the protein powder might make the texture tough.
- Let the healthy Cookie Dough Oreo dough chill before rolling out or it will be too mushy to handle.
To store Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos Recipe
These protein powder cookie dough stuffed Oreos use almond milk in the cookie dough filling and can only keep a few hours on the countertop.

Alternatives for Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos:
I made these sugar free, gluten free and low calorie chocolate chip cookie dough stuffed Oreos recipe with this particular ingredient list, but here’s some options to choose from.
- Oat Flour: Use Almond Flour instead
- Chocolate Protein Powder: Try a Vanilla protein powder, but maybe add a tiny bit more cocoa powder
- Almond Milk: Any other milk (dairy or non-dairy) works
- Almond Butter: Hazelnut Butter, Cashew Butter or Tahini; I don’t recommend Peanut Butter because of the strong flavor.
Options for the filling:
- Unflavored Protein Powder: More oat flour/other flour, but also use less milk in this case
- Coconut flour: Try using about 3 Tbsp of Almond Flour. I haven’t tried this myself though.
- Peanut Butter Powder: 2 tsp Peanut Butter (or other nut/seed butter), but also reduce milk
- Almond Milk: Any other milk
