I think this might be the richest chocolatey pudding I’ve made so far, but it really is so absolutely good! And the best part is it’s for really simple ingredients and a simple process too!
Ingredients for Protein Dirt Pudding
This healthy, high protein Dirt Pudding is made with a protein pudding and chocolate granola for that extra crunch.
- Chocolate Nut Granola I used this one from NuTrail.
For a Sugar Free Oreo option, use these Chocolate Vanilla Sandwich Cookies from Catalina Crunch. - Non-fat Greek Yogurt for a high protein custard
- Chocolate Protein Powder needed for high protein chocolate pudding. I used Quest Chocolate protein powder.
- Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix: Simply Delish or Jello
- Cocoa Powder
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
How to make Dirt Pudding with Protein Powder
This Valentine’s protein trifle is rich and tasty and actually very easy to make! Here’s what it takes:
- Make the protein pudding:
In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, protein powder, pudding mix, cocoa powder and milk until smooth.
- Assemble:
Assemble 3 jars with alternating layers: granola, pudding layer.
Add more granola and gummy bears on top.
How to store Healthy Dirt Pudding Cups?
These healthy dirt pudding cups have to be stored in the fridge; Place in airtight container or cover jar with plastic wrap. It keeps for 3-4 days.
Protein powder dirt pudding will keep out at room temperature for only a few hours.
Alternatives for Dirt Pudding Recipe without Cream Cheese
This dirt pudding recipe using greek yogurt and instant pudding mix and is made without cream cheese.
I do have some alternatives you can try. I haven’t testing them all, so I can’t say how the recipe might turn out.
- Greek Yogurt: Coconut Yogurt
- Almond Milk: Any other milk
- Whey-Casein Protein Powder: Use whey protein, but also reduce the milk to ⅓ cup
- Chocolate Granola: Crushed Oreos
How to Make Easy Dirt Pudding recipe Vegan
To make this easy high protein dirt pudding recipe Vegan, use a plant-based protein powder; I recommend KOS Plant Chocolate Protein. Taste and add stevia sweetener if needed.
Simply Delish pudding mix is already Vegan!
Also a use a Vegan-friendly granola or these Back to Nature Classic Creme Cookies to replace the Oreos.

Ingredients
- ⅔ cup Chocolate Nut Granola, 60g
- or 4 crushed Oreos, Sugar-Free recommended below
- ¾ cup Non-fat Greek Yogurt, 168g
- ½ cup Chocolate Protein Powder, Whey-Casein, 45g
- 3 Tbsp Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix, 22g, Sugar-free
- 1½ Tbsp Cocoa Powder, 7g
- ½ cup Unsweetened Almond Milk, 120ml
Toppings:
- Gummy Worms
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, protein powder, pudding mix, cocoa powder and milk until smooth.
- Assemble 3 jars with layers: chocolate granola/crushed oreos, pudding layer, more granola/oreo, pudding.
- Top with more granola/oreos and gummy worms.
