Jump to RecipeOkay to be honest, I thought making homemade popsicles would be really hard, but these protein ice cream pops were super easy to make! Not even kidding.
I put off buying popsicle molds for the longest time because I thought it would be some complicated process, but this turned out easier than ever. Literally took like 5 minutes to make, and the rest is just letting the freezer do its job.
I’d say the melted chocolate is optional, but not really, haha.

This recipe for protein ice cream pops uses clean ingredients you probably have in your pantry, and makes the best high protein popsicle recipe!
- Plain Greek Yogurt: I use a mix of low-fat and fat-free
- Vanila Protein Powder for high protein popsicle recipe.

How to make Protein Popsicles with Protein Powder and Greek Yogurt
I thought it would be hard, but these protein popsicles with protein powder and greek yogurt were really easy to make; Just mix everything, put it into a mold and freeze!
- Mix yogurt, protein powder, peanut butter and maple syrup in bowl.
- Divide mix into 4 popsicle molds.
Insert stick - Place in freezer for 2 hours.
- Mely chocolate: Place chocolate and coconut oil in bowl. Microwave 35 seconds (stirring 15 second intervals) until melted.
- Remove popsicles from mold.
- Dip ends in melted chocolate or drizzle on.
To Store High Protein Popsicles
High protein popsicles must be stored in the freezer; Place in airtight container or freezer-safe zipper bag for 2-3 months.
Alternate ingredients for Healthy Protein Popsicles
I made sugar free, lower fat and healthy protein popsicles with the ingredients above, but here’s some other clean ingredients you can try.
- Chocolate Pudding Mix: Use vanilla flavor
- Greek Yogurt: Coconut Yogurt
- Peanut Butter: Almond Butter, Cashew Butter or any other nut/seed butter.

The Best Protein Ice Cream Pops – No Sugar!
Ingredients
- ½ cup Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt, 112g
- ½ cup Low-fat Plain Greek Yogurt, 112g
- ⅓ cup Vanilla Protein Powder, Whey-Casein, 30g
- 2 Tbsp Peanut Butter, 32g
- 1 Tbsp Sugar-free Maple Syrup, 15ml
Topping:
- 3 Tbsp Sugar-free Chocolate, 42g
- ½ tsp Coconut Oil
Instructions
- In a bowl mix yogurt, protein powder, peanut butter, maple syrup.
- Divide mix 4 popsicle molds.Insert stick.
- Freeze 2 hours.
- Place chocolate and coconut oil in bowl and microwave 30-40 seconds (stirring at 15s intervals).
- Remove popsicles from molds, dip ends in chocolate or drizzle on chocolate.
- Place on parchment-lined baking pan or plate to dry.
