Protein Oreo Spread will blow your mind away! Low fat, low carb and high protein cookies and cream spread made with sugar free chocolate sandwich cookies.
Jump to RecipeI have no idea where this came from – maybe I saw something on Instagram? Maybe I was inspired by my protein biscoff spread? I don’t know, but whatever it is, this spread was AMAZING!
Really knocks out biscoff butter out of the park. Oreo cookie butter should be sold in stores. No jokes! Maybe I should patent it? Hmm.
Anyway, you’re gonna love it!
Ingredients for Protein Oreo Spread
This protein Oreo spread uses sugar free chocolate sandwich cookies for a healthy recipe that you can indulge in without guilt. Here’s all you need.
- Sugar-Free Chocolate Sandwich Cookies – I recommend Sundays or Catalina Crunch here!
- Chocolate Protein Powder; This is the source of protein and some sweetness in the protein powder Oreo spread. I recommend a whey-casein blend from Quest or Flex here.
- Black Cocoa – This is the one I used. Another recommendation is this one from The Cocoa Trader.
- Water
Vegan option?
Use these Back to Nature Classic Creme Cookies to replace the Oreos.
Also use a plant-based protein powder; I recommend KOS Plant Chocolate Protein.
Taste and add stevia sweetener if needed.
Gluten Free?
Use Gluten Free Oreos or these Glutino Chocolate Vanilla Cookies in place of regular Oreos
How to make Protein Oreo Butter Spread from Scratch?
To make protein oreo cookie butter spread from scratch, all you need is 1 food processor, 2 minutes, and the 4 ingredients!
- Process the Oreo cookies in the food processor or blender.
- Add the protein powder, blackk cocoa and water – a little at a time – and process again until it forms a spread.
You might need less or more water depending on your protein powder brand, and whether you want a creamy or crunchy protein cookies and cream spread.
To Store this Homemade Oreo Spread

Store the Oreo butter in the refrigerator.
Consume Within 3 Days:
