This high protein rice cake overnight uses rice cakes instead of oatmeal and is sweetened with protein powder for a healthy breakfast option.
- Rice Cakes; Whole grain brown rice recommended.
- Chocolate Protein Powder needed for high protein rice cakes oatmeal and also replaces the ‘sugar’. I used whey-casein Chocolate flavor from Quest Nutrition.
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt
For the Vanilla Topping:
- Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt
- Vanilla Protein Powder: I used Quest Nutrition Vanilla whey-casein here.

Crush the rice cakes into a bowl.
Combine the crushed rice cake, protein powder, cocoa powder milk and yogurt.
Make the vanilla topping by mixing the Greek yogurt and vanilla protein powder, then spread on top of the chocolate rice cake oatmeal.
Cover and place in the fridge to chill for about 1-2 hours.

Ingredients
- 2 Rice Cakes, 18g
- 1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder, Whey-casein, 30g
- 1½ Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, 8g
- ½ cup Unsweetened Almond Milk, 120ml
- ¼ cup Non-fat Greek Yogurt, 56g
Vanilla Topping:
- ¼ cup Non-fat Greek Yogurt, 56g
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla Protein Powder, Whey-casein, 6g
Instructions
- Crumble rice cakes into a bowl.
- Add chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, almond milk and Greek yogurt.Mix well.(Transfer to clean bowl if needed).
- In another bowl, combine Greek yogurt and vanilla protein powder.Spread over rice cake mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, or at least 2 hours.
- Add more milk before serving if needed.
