For the Chocolate Glaze:
- Chocolate Chips! I’d recommend the sugar free ones from Lakanto. Use my code HAYLSKITCHEN for a 15% discount on all the Lakanto products on their website!
- A bit of Coconut Oil
Tips for Healthy Single Serve Chocolate Donut with Protein Powder
This recipe really is an easy one, but here’s some pointers for the perfect chocolate protein powder donut for one:
- Use cold yogurt so that the dough does not get too sticky and hard to roll.
- Don’t over-process the dough or it will get too warm and soft. Also, the protein powder can make the chocolate donut holes tough.
- Don’t let dough sit out for too long; Work quickly; You don’t want the dough to get warm and hard to roll.
Place in the freezer for 5 minutes if needed.
- Slightly wet palms to roll the dough so it doesn’t stick to your palms

This homemade chocolate protein doughnut keep really well at room temperature, in the fridge or freezer.

For a freezer friendly option, freeze the single serve chocolate doughnut on a baking sheet and then transfer to freezer safe zipper bag. It should keep up to 2 months.

Loved making these!!!! So easy and so good! 🙂
This single serve donut really is one of my favs too!
Best “healthy” chocolate donut I’ve ever had. Love the one serving, as a single person it’s nice not having a recipe that makes multiple servings!!
Absolutely! The single serves really are great for the solo indulgences here as well, haha.
Enjoy!
This recipe was the best healthy chocolate donut I’ve have ever tasted…so delicious ?
Bravo to haylskitchen
So happy to hear that, Catlyn. You really did make my day!
This donut was soooo rich and easy to make. Definitely going to be making these more often!!!
Easy and tasty is what we go for here! Glad you loved this one!
I made 2 of these delicious doughnuts today! So good! I did have trouble getting the dough into a ball, so I just used my hands to squish it together and shape it. Thanks for the suggestion to process it longer; I’ll try that next time!!
Double batching a single serve; I love it! Processing the dough a little longer until it forms a ball definitely makes the job easier. Happy to help!
How fun! I’ve never seen a single serving donut recipe before!
Oh you totally need to give this a go. A single serve is perfect for satisfying those donut cravings without baking a whole batch.
