The perfect Snickers Protein Balls with all the candy layers – nougat, caramel, peanuts and chocolate – but healthy and easy too! These no bake Snickers protein bites are sweetened with protein powder so sugar free, and actually low fat, gluten free and Vegan too!
Jump to RecipeYou all probably already know that all those layers are the main reason I made these Snickers inspired protein balls.
They have everything you want in a Snickers bar, but in bite size treat full of protein, gluten free, and sugar free too. The perfect little Snickers bliss balls I should say.
Well they might look a bit fancy, but very minimal ingredients and very easy process too. Actually took my about 10 minutes to put them together.
Ingredients for Snickers Protein Balls
These Snickers protein balls are made with clean ingredients like oat flour, coconut flour, protein powder and collagen powder, and are great for a healthy snack. Here’s all that goes in:
For the inner Peanut and Caramel Layer
- Peanut Butter Powder, also known as Powdered Peanut Butter. I recommend Lakanto for a sugar free version (the code HAYLSKITCHEN gives you a discount). Or you could use the one from PbFit too.
- Protein Powder for high protein energy balls recipe, and also replace the sweetener.
I recommend the ProteinWorld Slender Blend or Whey Protein Powder for this recipe to keep it sugar free; Use the code HAYLSKITCHEN for a discount.
Another option would be Quest. - Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Chopped Peanuts
And the Oat-Coconut “Nougat” Layer
- Oat Flour – You can make your own with rolled oats in a blender
- Protein Powder – ProteinWorld Slender Blend or Whey here as well (with the same code HAYLSKITCHEN for a discount)
- Unflavored Collagen I use the one from Further Foods (HAYLSKITCHEN gives you a discount)
- Coconut Flour
- More Unsweetened Almond Milk
For the Chocolate Coating for a Snickers Bites effect:
- Chocolate Chips: The sugar free from Lakanto again here (same code HAYLSKITCHEN for a discount)

How to make Snickers Protein Bites
These Snickers protein powder balls really are extremely easy to make – a simple no bake, mix and roll recipe, one candy bar layer at a time.
- Make the peanut-caramel – Stir the peanut butter powder, vanilla protein powder and almond milk in bowl; Mixture should be thick.
Divide the mix into 9 parts.
- Now the oat nougat later: in a bowl – oat flour, vanilla protein powder, unflavored collagen, coconut flour and milk.
Stir until it forms a dough.
If it’s too dry, add just a teaspoon of milk, and some more coconut flour if too wet.
Divide the mix into 9 parts.
Now assemble the balls one layer at a time:
- Roll a peanut caramel ball
Make a depression
Place about 3 peanut halves in
Phen cover and roll up again.
- Roll an oat-nougat ball and flatten into a disk
Place peanut caramel ball on
Then cover and roll up again.
- Do this for all the balls. Then place the Snickers protein bites in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- For that chocolate coating:
- Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a bowl and microwave 45 seconds – stirring every 20 seconds – until melted.
Let the chocolate cool a bit. - Line a plate or baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place balls (one at a time) into chocolate, roll around using 2 forks or spoons coat.
Place on prepared plate/sheet to cool
- Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a bowl and microwave 45 seconds – stirring every 20 seconds – until melted.

I am loving how you include collagen in so many of your recipes!
Thank you Kaci! Desserts with collagen really do turn out so well, and it can be a great way to add an extra protein bump without a flavor change but with some extra benefits instead.
