I think I saw someone on Instagram make a tiramisu with rice cakes, so I went ahead and made a high protein, sugar-free version of that. It turned out so addictively good!!

Ingredients for Rice Cake Tiramisu
This high protein rice cake tiramisu uses rice cakes instead of ladyfingers and is sweetened with protein powder for a healthy dessert alternative. Plus, it’s gluten-free and dairy-free, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions.
- Rice Cakes; Whole grain brown rice recommended
- Strong Coffee
- Reduced Fat Cream Cheese
- Non-fat Greek Yogurt
- Vanilla Protein Powder; This is the source of sweetness to make a sugar-free rice cake tiramisu recipe; I used Quest Nutrition’s Vanilla protein powder
- A bit of Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder for dusting.
To make Lighter Tiramisu Dessert
This lighter tiramisu dessert recipe really is lower fat, lower calorie and super easy too.
- Make the cream cheese filling by mixing the cream cheese, Greek yogurt and vanilla protein powder.
- Dip Rice Cake in espresso (into a shallow dish).
- Place in ramekin.
- Spread ½ cream cheese filing on top.
- Dip and layer another rice cake on top.
- Spread remaining cream cheese filing.
- Cover and place in the fridge to chill for about 1-2 hours.

This rice cake protein tiramisu recipe will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days in an airtight container, and is great for making ahead.
You can also meal-prep it in containers and keep for a quick dessert during the week.

- Reduced Fat Cream Cheese: Regular cream cheese
- Greek Yogurt: Coconut Yogurt or even blended cottage cheese.
- Almond Milk: Regular milk or lactose-free milk or any other milk

Rice Cake Tiramisu – High Protein, Sugar Free
Ingredients
- 2 Rice Cakes, 18g
- ¼ cup Brewed Coffee
- 3 tablespoon Reduced Fat Cream Cheese, Softened, 42g
- 3 tablespoon Non-fat Greek Yogurt, 42g
- ¼ cup Vanilla Protein Powder, Whey-casein, 22g
- 2 tablespoon Unsweetened Almond Milk, 30ml
- 1 teaspoon Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Instructions
- In a bowl mix softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder and milk.
- Dip rice cake in coffee, transfer into large ramekin (be quick but gentle).
- Spread half cream mixture on top (smoothen with back of spatula or spoon)
- Repeat with second rice cake + remaining cream.
- Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
- Dust with cocoa power (use sieve).
