I didn’t really have any ladyfingers on me though, so I decided to use protein pancakes instead and make a Tiramisu inspired pancake stack!
The flavor of coffee protein pancakes and a protein cream cheese topping; quite a realistic tiramisu with no ladyfingers.
Ingredients for easy Tiramisu Protein Pancakes

Kodiak Buttermilk Pancake Mix
Feel free to use a regular pancake mix too.
- Reduced Fat Cream Cheese, which might also be called Neufchâtel, for a low fat and low calorie tiramisu topping
- Vanilla Protein Powder for high protein cream cheese topping, and also replace the sweetener.

- Instant Coffee and Water or just strong brewed coffee
How to Make High Protein Tiramisu Pancakes
Other than the simple ingredients, these protein powder tiramisu pancakes with pancake mix and a cream cheese protein powder topping really are super easy to make as well!
Cook the Protein Pancakes
- Make pancake batter – stir pancake mix and water in a bowl according to box directions. Batter should be thick and slightly lumpy. Don’t over-mix.
- Heat nonstick pan or skillet on medium-low, and grease with cooking spray.
- Scoop out about 2-3 tbsp mixture at a time onto pan and cook until edges are dry and top has bubbles. Flip and cook the other side; About 2 minutes each side.
Make the Cream Cheese Pancakes Topping
- Beat the cream cheese with a hand mixer or whisk it with a wire whisk util it’s smooth.
- Add in the Greek yogurt and protein powder and stir!
The coffee Soak:
- Whisk instant coffee and water in a bowl
- Cool pancakes then soak each one in the coffee mixture to make coffee protein pancakes.
Layer
- Assemble the stack: pancake, cream cheese protein mixture, then repeat!
- Cool in the fridge for about 10 minutes and then eat!
Tips for perfect Protein Cream Cheese Pancakes
These Tiramisu-inspired protein cream cheese pancakes are really quick and easy to make, but you need to keep a few things in mind to get them perfect.
- Use a nonstick pan so the protein pancakes don’t stick to the bottom.
- Medium-low heat to prevent the tiramisu pancakes from burning before they cook.
- Grease the pan well again so that the pancakes don’t stick to the pan.
- Let the sides dry out, top form bubbles before flipping a sign that the bottom is also cooked completely; This way you won’t have to double flip later.
- Let the pancakes stack cool in the fridge after adding the protein powder cream cheese mixture to get the proper tiramisu effect.

If you want to make a from scratch protein tiramisu pancake recipe, use any good pancake recipe; I have a healthy whole wheat pancake recipe that would work just great here! Add some protein powder to make them high protein pancakes.

For a Vegan tiramisu pancakes recipe, use a dairy free cream cheese alternative and yogurt.

Tiramisu Protein Pancakes (The most Realistic)
Ingredients
- ½ cup Protein Pancake Mix, or regular, about 50g
- Water, as directed on box
Coffee Soak:
- 1½ Tbsp Water
- ½ tsp Instant Coffee
Cream:
- 2 Tbsp Reduced Fat Cream Cheese, Softened, 28g (1oz)
- ¼ cup Non-fat Greek Yogurt, 56g
- 1½ Tbsp Vanilla Protein Powder, 8g
Instructions
- Cook Pancakes according to box instructions:
- Stir together pancake mix and water in a bowl to form thick batter; Small clumps of flour are okay.
- Heat a nonstick pan on medium-low and scoop out about 3-4 Tbsp mixture on it.Cook for about 2 minutes until edges are slightly dry and bubbles start to appear.Flip and cook other side for 1-2 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
Make Cream:
- Whisk cream cheese with a wire whisk or hand mixer until light and airy; About 30-45 seconds.
- Add Greek Yogurt and protein powder and whisk to combine.
Coffee Soak:
- Stir water and instant coffee in a shallow bowl.
- Dip pancake in coffee mixture and lay on plate. Smooth ⅓ cream cheese mixture on top.Repeat with remaining pancakes and cream.Dust cocoa on top.
- Refrigerate about 10 minutes; They taste best cold!
