Ingredients in White Chocolate Mocha Protein Shake
This white chocolate mocha protein shake is made with a few simple ingredients, and white chocolate pudding mix and white chocolate too!
- Vanilla Protein Powder: This is the core ingredient to this white chocolate mocha shake, so use a good quality one.
I recommend Whey-Casein from Quest Nutrition for this recipe to make it thick and smooth. - White Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix: I used this sugar free and fat free one from Jello.
- Sugar Free White Chocolate – I use the white chocolate bar from Lily’s here. They also have white chocolate chips that would work too.
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Espresso Shot
- Ice
How do you make the White Chocolate Coffee Protein Shake?
This white chocolate mocha shake is a simple recipe. A few easy steps is all it takes.
- Blend smoothie ingredients in a blender (protein powder, milk, white chocolate pudding mix).
- Place espresso, ice and most white chocolate in jar.
- Pour smoothie over, top with more white chocolate.
Tips for White Chocolate Mocha Shake with Protein Powder
This white chocolate mocha shake is super easy to make, but here’s some pointers to get it right:
- Use whey-casein protein powder for this recipe. It works well with the ratio of ingredients here.
Whey-casein absorbs more liquid, and whey absorbs less, so you need to adjust the liquid accordingly for the right consistency of this thin mint shake.
- Put the wet ingredients in the blender first, then the dry ingredients. This prevents the dry ingredients from sticking to the bottom of the blender.
- Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed so everything mixes well.
More options for Healthy White Chocolate Mocha
I made this a low-calorie and healthy white chocolate mocha with the list of ingredients I mentioned, but here’s some other alternatives.
- Almond Milk: Other non-dairy or regular milk
- Sugar-free Instant Pudding Mix: Regular white chocolate instant pudding mix
- Sugar-free White Chocolate: Regular white chocolate
If you’re Vegan, use a plant based protein powder to make this white chocolate mocha drink; I recommend Dymatize Complete Plant Protein Powder.
